The Assyrian National Council – Australia Inc. (ANCA) and The Young Assyrians (TYA) were honoured to attend the 2025 Christmas Drinks reception hosted by Senator Dave Sharma at CommBank Stadium, Parramatta. The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with federal representatives, discuss community priorities, and strengthen relationships that support the advancement of Australia’s Assyrian community. We were also delighted by the attendance of Senator James Paterson, whose presence and insights added significant value to the evening. Their continued support underscores the importance of meaningful dialogue between policymakers and culturally diverse communities.

Fundraising Event Hosted by Mr Tri Vo MP

The Assyrian National Council – Australia, a remarkable fundraising event organised by Mr Tri Vo MP, State Member for Cabramatta, with the Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of New South Wales, serving as the esteemed guest of honour. The gathering of more than 700 guests was a clear reflection of the deep respect and strong support that the communities within Mr Vo’s electorate hold for him.

The event was further distinguished by the attendance of the Hon. Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education, whose presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the strong commitment to the region’s future.

It was truly a wonderful evening, and I extend my sincere best wishes to Mr Tri Vo MP for his continued success, bolstered by the admiration and confidence of the people he so faithfully serves. It was also a pleasure to meet the Premier, whose presence and uplifting message brought great distinction and inspiration to the night.
